Can’t you see I’m the one bearing
the perfect attendance medal
across my chest, and an award

from a small planet for my efforts
in fantasy there. Before me, the planet
was empty, peopled only

with the negatives of those
I once loved; their stylish silvery
whites only make me love them

more. When you are king there is nobody
to work for; I get lazy and watch
