Having lived together for so long that they could no longer stand the sight of one another, the couple decided that this alone was reason enough to legalize their relationship, and so they mailed off the wedding invitations.
Grudge was to be the theme of their wedding. They limited the guest list to two former lovers apiece, his mother, her father, the landlady with the green teeth who was to serve as maid of honor, and a hospital attendant who had deflowered the groom some years before and was now quite enthusiastic about the prospect of serving as best man.
