An anemone
                                     comes a little furtively,
only slightly—it waits to be drawn.
It bobs then makes a tunnel, a coil of knotty blue.

I draw it curl by curl
not to forsake its curtainy breeze. A dab of red, a blister

of white, and with a lip touch I’ve made it—another.
