Lay in bed, having
A bad dream during a thunderstorm
Dear Kenward,
What a pearl
of a letter knife. It’s just
You

me
In the branches the light
so that the limbs
go out
1. denigrate obtuse and active verbs pronouns
skewer the sieve of the optical sewer
release the handle that holds all the gates up
the road on the wall
pulled shut
the sun from your eye
I dreamed of a clipper ship
Gold on blue THE CHASEY ALICE
Until he’d seen which Captain You said
His mother caught him sitting on the toilet with his pants
down. On the edge of the bathtub, directly in front of him
was a photograph of a naked girl with her pubic hair showing.
