in a world the orange sun resets

I’ve never been
to heaven
I’ve never been to heaven,
I would enquire of you
The Slinger leaning forward askt
One of the 4 Great Questions
Charlie’s eye was hurt bad and a
spider web of red blood
was dripping from his left face and
how many subway flights to tear away / this terror
I am thinking / of a broken-down blue door / in a flop house.
My little wife suggested that I tell you this story / because she received such pleasure from it, / and I such pleasure in the telling.
O fate, O sad duty, / O mankind, O life, what does it mean?
Eric Dolphy can’t wake up:
