Poem of the Day
1981
By Asiya Wadud
in a world the orange sun resets
in a world the orange sun resets
Vital Span
In Virginia
Is Closed
Plato
in his tree
After we
were all
a bed,
time is an enemy
thick air
a pigeon writes
Kowabunga! The amoeba was
mountainous.
Venusian burgers were sailing out
King George the Fifth
looked like my grandfather
and felt as close
YEAH, OR MAYBE LIVE IN FANTASIES / WITHIN A DOLPHIN'S SKULL!
Can you be busted for fucking / The enemy? The radio is curiously / Still in the tropical night
Wish you were heir / To more naturalness / Than simple lust
Silences of darkness are / Windows into water
